From the Desk of Bob Carr:
Well folks, fall is peeking around the corner, and you know what that means: shorter days, longer nights, and the inevitable, “Honey, why is the front walkway pitch-black again?” moment.
Here’s the deal—your outdoor lights have been faithfully shining all summer long. They’ve been through thunderstorms, heat waves, kids kicking soccer balls at them, and maybe even the neighbor’s dog leaving… let’s call them “gifts.” And now, just as we’re about to roll the clocks back for daylight savings, it’s the perfect time to give those lights a little TLC. (Pun very much intended!)
At TLC Incorporated, we don’t just install outdoor lighting—we maintain it. Our fall lighting tune-up is like a spa day for your fixtures. Here’s what we’ll do for you:
- Check every fixture – Because nothing’s worse than the one light that’s out.
- Re-lamp as needed – Burnt-out bulbs? We’ll swap them out. No squinting and stumbling for you.
- Clean the lenses – Dirt, bugs, and pollen don’t belong on your lighting. Let’s make sure your house shines the way it’s supposed to.
- Reposition fixtures – Sometimes lights shift after mowing, mulching, or gravity doing its thing. We’ll set them right again.
Think of it like a fall check-up at the doctor, but for your house. And unlike your doctor, we don’t make you sit in a waiting room flipping through three-year-old magazines.
Now, here’s the kicker: daylight savings ends on Sunday, November 2nd this year. (Go ahead and mark your calendar. Or don’t—your phone will do it for you anyway.) When the sun starts setting at 5 p.m., you’ll be grateful that your driveway, paths, and back deck aren’t cloaked in darkness.
So don’t wait until you’re tripping over your kid’s bike in the dark. Give us a call, and we’ll make sure your lights are tuned up, shining bright, and ready to take on the darker months ahead.
Because at TLC, we believe outdoor lighting should do two things:
1. Make your home look beautiful.
2. Keep you from doing the midnight stumble dance across your yard.
Give us a shout today—your future shins will thank you.
